Dearest Doris & Johnnie

I suppose you think that I had forgotten you. I have only wrote you one letter since I have been on Bivouac. But really we have been on the go day + night. This is the second night that we have off. we go back into Camp Sat. morning. I sure will be glad to get in and get a shower and get cleaned up. I finally heard from Jim Sears. I will tell you what he said when I see you. We get paid today $12.30.
What do you think of my writting paper? Sure is cold here of a night. In fact we wore our overcoats one day & glad to wear them.
Honey it is getting dark so will have to close for tonight.
Will write you a long letter Sat. I got a bayonet cut over my left eye but it is O.K. now.

Lots + lots of Love
